Message from his Mom, Colleen:
Today I said goodbye (for now, until we meet again) to my big handsome Nate (Greys Detonator). I had been worried about the dreaded osteosarcoma because he has had an intermittant limp. Today his humerus shattered. I set him free of pain. He was a wonderful boy. BIG and handsome and sweet, a gentle giant. Everyone that met him loved him. Godspeed big guy I'll miss you everday
2016_drummer.jpg Drummer40 viewsMy boy Drummer.....Miss that grouchy old fart! Bitsy has to growl at someone else now over the food bowl..She and Drummer had a thing where they growled at each other for just looking in the direction of the bowl. Neither of them even had to be standing by the bowl! (Per Cheryl Carroll, Drummer did not have a racing name.)

Beautiful Momma, BeBe, lived a wonderful retirement life with Bob & Alice. She also lived with her son, Floyd.
Message from Alice on Facebook: BeBe's health issues started with a hip problem quickly degenerated. She lost almost 10 pounds in a couple of months and was in a lot of pain. She dragged the bad leg and the muscles were gone!! Dr Wahl tried different meds, but nothing was helping. I think she gave up.
Run wild, run free at the bridge BeBe, We'll miss you!

A note from her Mom, Peggy:
My dear sweet Momma Maggie (Happy Soul) crossed over the Rainbow Bridge yesterday. She was 10 years and 11 months old and she passed from Osteosarcoma. She was diagnosed 6 months ago and I am thankful for everyday we had together. She was the sweetest, laid back girl that brought so much happiness to us, especially to Blair. I have adopted Greyhounds of all ages, however, I strongly encourage anyone looking to adopt, to consider a Momma Greyhound. Blair, her daughter Meg and I will miss her more than anything.

Message from his Mom, Susan:
Sad day. Dixie (Craigie Aflame) went to the Rainbow Bridge this morning after we learned she had a massive tumor on or near her spleen. We are heartbroken. We adopted her at age 7, after she had 3 litters of pups (16 total). She was a wonderful companion and she blessed us with the happiest 3 years of watching her blossom into a beautiful pet. We will love & miss you sweet Dixie Momma till we meet again 🐾💔Fly free

Message from his family:
Today was the hardest day, we said goodbye to our sweet boy Cash. He was 11 years young. He was part of our family for 8 years, not nearly long enough. The lessons this dog taught me are innumerable. I watched him lose his way after our original greyhound died suddenly but soon after, he was leader of the pack, which he remained until today. I saw him choose to not eat his own food until dogs older and sicker than him finished theirs while he stood guard. I have never had a snuggle as genuine as his. Because of this dog, I learned what love was really about. I learned to share my dogs with someone I no longer shared a life with because we each still loved them, and you can never have enough love. When we said goodbye to Cash today, he was with me, Greg, and Kent. The room was so full of love I felt proud to be a part of it, and Cash deserved nothing less. While our hearts are broken, Cash is running pain free in a better place. Run free sweet boy, fly high!

Message from his family:
Just wanted to let you know we put Bloomberg down last Wednesday. Thank you for setting us up with such a wonderful boy. Had he not been so perfect, we would have never been as active with greyhound rescue as we became. He was a wonderful ambassador for greyhound rescue and brought smiles to many folks with his 150 pet therapy visits over the years through Therapy Dogs International. We will miss him dearly. Steve

Message from her Mom:
Another angel waits at The Bridge 🌈
We said goodbye...until we meet again to our beautiful Kelley this morning. We adopted her at just two years old. Kelley was a beautiful fawn brindle the only one in her litter that wasn't black. We would find out the she was "different" in many ways but it just made her that much more special to us. Her body was failing her and she has always hated to be "handled". I'll never forget what Mona said to us on her adoption day when we arrived to pick her up "I've never gotten this wet bathing a dog before" and she was soaking wet, even her hair was wet! Kelley hung in there for quite a while with a weakening back end but this past two weeks she really declined. Losing weight and she could no longer get off of her bed or stand to potty unassisted. After discovering two masses on her side we made the difficult decision to set her free. Godspeed beautiful girl you are in our hearts forever 💕

Message from her Mom, Cindy:
Our hearts are broken, we sent our sweet Stormy to be with her Momma and her brothers and sisters late this afternoon. When I came home from work today, Stormy did not come to greet me with sister Onyx and big brother Larue... she just would not get out of bed. Doc examined her and said he didn't see signs of a stroke then ran blood work on her and took x-rays of her spine and chest. She was that one special little girl that caught her Daddy's eye right away and he brought her home... I will never forget that day. she was so beautiful, smart and so loving. She loved everybody and everybody loved her. I do want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for our Stormy, she was one in a million and I really don't know how I can keep going without her Mona. I could tell her anything and she would just snuggle me and make me feel better. With all our love, Cindy & Leo and Onyx and Larue

My beautiful momma, Greys Royal Sage. If you met her, you instantly fell in love. She was a huge love bug, but now she has crossed the rainbow bridge and is running free on the other side. Thank you to Mona and George for bringing her to us. I wish we could have had more time with her. Love you always baby girl...

Ty was such a sweet & handsome boy. He had a wonderful life with his Mom, Brandi. Our thoughts are with her while her heart heals.

Here's a message from Brandi: Ty, You weren't just a dog, but a force. Your crazy personality and antics made you well known and most just referred to you as "The Greyhound ". You were truly one of a kind. You left me with a empty couch, a broken heart, and a ton of fond memories. I'll see you on the other side. Til then I will continue entertaining audiences with my crazy greyhound stories.
