Just 10 days after losing Kelley we said goodbye until we meet again to our beautiful "Sunny" tonight. She had some slight lameness in her rear leg that got suddenly worse. The X-rays revealed spinal stenosis and a compressed disc. There was no improvement with bed rest, pain meds and steroids. Unfortunately due to her age she was not a candidate for surgery. We made the difficult decision to set her free one month shy of her thirteenth birthday. Shine bright beautiful girl you live forever in our hearts |

My sweet little Phoebe crossed onto the bridge yesterday. I am still in shock that she is gone. Phoebe was my shy girl, but once she felt comfortable, she was a happy girl with a smile on her face. When she would wag her tail, her whole backend would wag...earning her the nickname of Wigglebutts or Wigs for short. I miss her tremendously. Hug your fur kids and cherish every day. |

It has been a horrible summer for us. I had to put Maya down yesterday. She developed the dreaded limp and it was so bad within 24 hours she wouldn't even get up to go to the bathroom. Osteosarcoma. I had to have the vet come to the house and put her down right there. I couldn't even consider trying to get her in the car. She was in such pain. We are still mourning over Cabo but this has left us devastated |

She was the sweetest Greyhound I ever met. She loved food and a comfortable dog bed. She never got up on the furniture. It was her choice. She had a gentle soul. We were proud that Mona and George have her pup Kissinger and Christine and Chris have Pookie. When we met (Pookie) he wanted nothing to do with us. We knew he went to the best home cause they had adopted Couragous mother. The hole in are hearts is still there. Even now I can barely type cause the tears won't stop. Love you Courageous! |

I'm so sorry to tell you this, we sent Angela to the Bridge this morning. She had a stroke on Thanksgiving Eve. We were hoping that she would recover from it but she didn't. Her life wasn't good any longer. Her back right leg was damaged. It just hung and she had to drag it. She kept falling and injuring her right hip. Angela wouldn't give up doing things for herself. She still had an appetite and drank her water, but we had to help her in every way. We were hoping that it was a embolism in her spine. Normally that can be reversed if you give Pred. and Rimadyl asap. We did that, but it didn't work. 😢 Thank You to Gina Trippi and John Kerr for sponsoring Angela |

We hoped and prayed this day would not come so soon, but last night our special, sweet, easy going, happy, big boy Wyatt Earp gained his wings and flew to Rainbow Bridge.
Wyatt, and his 2 brothers Jessejames and Gunslinger, just celebrated their 13th birthday a few days ago. Wyatt became a part of our family after four years of racing. He happily came with us through two moves, saw two kids added to the household, and always adjusted himself with ease. He was as tough as they come having easily recovered from a couple cuts with stitches and a throat surgery just six months ago – and bouncing back just fine from all of that.
There is so much we miss already – going crazy when it was time for a walk, he would hop down the driveway and literally pull us down the sidewalk – so strong! After his brothers were worn out from walking he would keep pulling away from the house to go for more. He always loved a car ride, and he was the ring leader when it came to lobbying for treats – |
